What documents can I use for proof of address?
Please upload 1 proof of address document under the full name provided in the section for personal details. It can be any of the following documents dated within the last 3 months. Gas/Electric/Water Bill Council Tax Bill Bank Account Letter or Statement Rental or Lease Agreement Home Buildings or Contents Insurance Internet subscription Credit Card Letter or Statement.
How long will it take to get Trustd?
If you have all of the required information to hand, the onboarding process can be completed within 10 minutes. Our compliance officers will review your information, and have you verified within 48 hours, although it usually happens much faster than this.
How often do you check my docs?
Your documents are monitored for the expiry date, and we will notify you prior to a document expiry date so that you can upload a new version. You can opt into enhanced checks on a monthly or quarterly basis to upgrade your Trustd tier to demonstrate an even greater standard of compliance.
What documents will I need?
We will need the following documents:
- Driving License
- Goods in transit insurance
- Vehicle insurance
- Certificate of Incorporation and VAT certificate if incorporated
- Operator License if applicable
- Proof of Address document
Do I have to complete my profile myself or can someone else do it for me?
You can ask anyone in your business to do the admin, however there is a biometric ‘selfie’ check which needs to be completed by a Director of the business.
What will happen to my documents?
Your documents will be checked by a Compliance Officer and stored within Trustd.
I am a Ltd company, but I do not have a CRN number yet as I am newly registered?
A Company Registration number is mandatory, however if you are newly registered you can provide our onboarding team with some document that states that your application is in process to get your company registered.
I have 3 vehicles, and it is only asking me: fleet, NA and 1 ? there is no option for 2.

How do I know if I am a courier/hauler?
We differentiate courier vs haulier to decide whether you need to submit an O licence. The break point for that is 3.5T and above (plus Euro 2.5T and above now).
How do I upload the documents? When will the section come for me to upload my documents?
Trustd will prompt you for all the information you need according to your subscription type. There will be a document section in your Trustd journey where you can upload all the documents that are required.
Why does Trustd want to access my camera?
Access to the camera is for a face match (‘selfie’) as well as the liveness check. We cross reference your driving licence against the liveness check to make sure you are the exact person stated in the Identity document to promote security and trust on the platform.
Why does Trustd want to use DL for DVLA checks? What if I do not give permission?
We use a driving licence to make sure that the user/member is eligible to drive in the UK and to match against the liveness check to promote security and trust on the platform. This is a mandatory process within Trustd.
I do not have an O license – Why do I need to upload it?
It is a legal requirement to have a O license when operating large vehicles. You will not be able to quote for work on the Exchange without it. (any vehicle above 3.5 Tonne requires O license, in euro region too)
My vehicle registration number is showing as invalid, what should I do?
If you are certain that you are entering a valid registration number, it is important to note that our vehicle check service can only check for vehicles MOT tested in England, Scotland and Wales since 2005. We are working to extend our service to vehicles in Northern Ireland. Also note that new vehicles can take some time to be registered at the Government MOT service, so may sometimes not be available. In this case, please contact us.
What should I do if my Face Recognition is not working?
Firstly, ensure that you have granted permissions for the Trustd application to use your mobile device camera or webcam. Ensure that your face is placed correctly within the frame on your camera. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact us.
I can see a "500 error" on my screen, what should I do?
Please clear your cache, refresh your browser and try to log back in. If this still doesn't work please contact us.
If you are using Internet Explorer, Edge, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox you can quickly clear cache with a keyboard shortcut. While in your browser, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete simultaneously on the keyboard to open the appropriate window.
IMPORTANT: Be sure and close/quit the browser and restart it after clearing the cache and cookies.
